About this work

Moroccan Jug and Pears

A squat Moroccan jug sits beside three pears, the whole still life pressed into a narrow band of dark space. Vallotton gives the earthenware vessel a burnished copper glaze and a single curved handle, its belly catching one cold edge of light. Behind it, the wall goes nearly black, so the pears read as warm ocher shapes with bruised green shoulders, each one built from flat, deliberate strokes. The composition holds the tension between decorative surface and observed form that marks his Nabi period. It suits a kitchen, a pantry wall, or a dim dining room that wants a quiet focal point.

Information

Frequently asked

Yes — it ships fully framed and assembled, with hanging hardware already fitted to the back.

Wipe the front gently with a soft, dry cloth and keep it out of direct sunlight.

Pick the size that suits your wall and furniture. If you are unsure between two, the larger one usually looks better than expected.

Each piece is made to order and shipped free with tracking, usually within a couple of weeks depending on your location. See our shipping policy for details.

Usually not, but international orders can occasionally be subject to local import fees set by your country. Anything like that is set by customs, not by us.

As each piece is made to order, we do not accept change-of-mind returns. If it arrives damaged or faulty, email support@auvrique.com within 7 days and we will put it right. See our refund policy.
