Stems of a flowering spurge rise in tight parallel ranks, each bud angled toward the light with the same quiet discipline. Karl Blossfeldt framed them against a plain grey ground so nothing distracts from the geometry the plant builds on its own. Every ridge and furrow along the stalks reads sharply, the pale tissue almost sculptural in its finish.
