Young shoots of maidenhair fern unfurl in Art Forms in Nature 104, Karl Blossfeldt turning a woodland corner into geometry. Each crozier coils inward with the discipline of drawn ironwork. Shot in monochrome, the young foliage shows a velvet sheen along every wiry stem, fan-shaped leaflets catching light in graded rows.
